A blog about living with FSH muscular dystrophy. Questions?

About me

My name is Timothy, I'm 49 years old, and I have FSH muscular dystrophy, a genetic condition which I didn't inherit from either of my parents; this is known scientifically as “a novel mutation,” and unscientifically as “bad fucking luck.” Since 2014 I have been living in a neurological centre in Gloucester, UK.

A few facts about me: I collect playing cards and pin badges, I am a trustee and vice-chairperson for a charity, I absorb science fiction and science fact, I'm pro-choice, I don't believe in religion, and I do believe in climate change. I wrote about living with my disability amongst other subjects on another site a few years ago.
